Display Reading: Indications
and recommended readings
Voltage:
Voltage at battery cable, then voltage during test cycle.
Operate Time:
This is the time it takes (in seconds) for the contact to be made
between the contact
disk, battery and field stud
after the S-Terminal is activated. (This reading should be below
0.5 seconds. The lower the better.)
Release time:
The time (in seconds) it takes for the contact to break from the
battery and field stud after the S-Terminal is deactivated. (This
reading should be below 0.5 seconds. The lower the better.)
Voltage Drop:
The voltage drop across the Battery Stud, Contact Disk and Field
Stud. (This reading should be below 0.5 Volts. The lower
the better.) Under load test this reading will be higher.
Amps:
The amp draw of the starter and solenoid during the test.
