| D201-0072-ST STARTER ENDURANCE TESTER This Endurance Tester is designed around an 8 (14) cu. ft. thermal chamber. The main application of the machine is endurance and durability testing of light to medium duty automotive and industrial starters. The machine is based on D201-0012-STGR measuring platform with extended software control. |

The
tester can perform in three modes of operation: • Performance evaluation at different temperatures. The machine can perform and execute standard D201-0012-ST test procedures. The test specifications data base and measuring program are fully compatible with existing software. This allows the future D201-0012-ST software development to be easily implemented on D201-0072-ST. All files, reports and utilities are completely compatible. • Continuous test at programmable cycle count and temperature profile. In this mode a plug in utility helps to trigger the measuring sequence and synchronize the test cycle with the temperature profile. Delay, test counts, number of rejects and temperature are fully programmable. • Programmable test with scripting capabilities and customer controls. This mode allows the test results acquired via built in OPC server to be shared with MS Windows applications, supporting this technology (for example MS Excel, MS Access). At the same time a test executable engine performs a measurement, based on custom defined script. Library of functions allows easy access to all hardware recourses, including auxiliary inputs for custom expansion. The machine measures torque, current, speed, solenoid current, voltage, temperature and power of the starter. Free run test can be only simulated (the break motor is engaged with the starter at all times.) During the test all intermediate results, including time, starter parameters and temperature are recorded in report data base. Built in report generator allows custom reports to be printed. Test date, presented in industry standard CSV format, allows easy statistical processing. Inside the chamber the starter is mounted on removable fixture. A simulating device, located out of the test cabinet, allows easy starter setup. Starter pinion clearance is adjusted on the simulator. Then the complete assembly in installed in the thermal chamber. |
