Did you know that you can rebuild most small drives for less than $.50 cents? So why wouldn’t you?
$.50 cents gives you a cap, 4 rollers and 4 springs. Many times you do not have the parts you need in stock and the unit must go out right away. In some emergency situations, the cap can be reused. See the cap below with the markings on it. This cap was removed two times. We recommend replacing all the rollers, springs and cap. We can give you information on parts suppliers and basic instructions.
Operation Requirements:
- 2 ton Arbor Press or equivalent-to press on the pinion
- 7/64” Allen wrench-to tighten the 3 gripper jaws to the cap
- (2) 5/16” Allen wrenches-to tighten the 2 halves of the clamping fixture together forcing the grippers into the cap
- 9/16” open or box wrench-to tighten the 3 lock nuts on the clamping fixture
