Ford PMGR Housing Identification Tool
Ford PMGR Housing Identification Tool
• Identify Ford PMGR unit number 3230 & 3204
• This tool only fits the 3230 Ford PMGR on starters such as F3DU-1100-BA, F3DZ-1100-B, FZPU-1100-JA, F7PZ-11002-JA, SA-810-810, SA-865.
• This is a Go-No-Go Tool
Operation:
Place the tool on the drive end housing, aligning the two solenoid mounting holes and the top mounting ear hole. If the tool easily slides into all three holes, you have a 3230. If the tool does not slide into all three holes, you have a 3204. Remember, these are not interchangeable housings.

Three easy steps and the bearing is out:
1 Set drive housing in round receiver and drill through center of the needle bearing
2 Remove the housing and place on plate. Use special reamer to drill down to top of bearing. Be gentle with reamer to bearing; touch easy
3 Use driver to remove bearing.
