Stop fighting the installation of field coils. 
Use our New Field Coil Expanders to get the
Field Coil and Pole Pieces tight against the case before tightening the screws. 

A 3/4” socket will rapidly expand the jaws to open
and a rubber o-ring will decrease the diameter when loosened.
